Commons Dining Hall is an american restaurant in College Station, Texas. It is listed at 676 Lubbock St, College Station, TX 77843, which places it among the local businesses of College Station that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under fine dining restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 7 amβ2:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (979) 845-3211. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is dineoncampus.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Iβve had multiple bad experiences at the Commons dining hall, and it honestly feels frustrating as a student who pays so much for a meal plan. One morning around 8 a.m., my roommate and I grabbed fruit on the way out: 4 apples, 2 oranges, and 2 bananas. All the baskets were completely full, and I rarely even see students taking fruit. As we were leaving, the lady at the front started yelling at me saying I could only take two. I understood that 4 apples mightβve been too much, so I gave two back without arguing. But then she kept yelling and changed it to only one of each fruit or two total. At that point it felt unnecessary and embarrassing, especially because she was so loud and caused a whole scene. Another time a few months ago, I didnβt have time to eat because of my classes and clubs, so I brought a lunchbox to take food with me. Even though I was away from the workers, a staff member saw me and immediately started arguing with me, saying βthis isnβt a restaurant.β I told her I pay for this and should be able to use the food how I need to. It was frustrating because Iβm just trying to make my schedule work. Students pay a lot of money every semester for these dining halls,

The breakfast tacos are really good and at lunch time they have two salad bars, one where you can make your own salad and the other one where they make it for you. They have so many different varieties and options to choose from every day!

I think the picture perfectly explains the review. The staff is always rude and unfriendly, and the options for my dietary restrictions are so limited. Iβm a vegetarian, and Iβve legit had to incorporate chicken into my diet occasionally because there are no other options. Iβve asked for the black bean burger which they supposedly always have but have always been told that they do not offer it. I waited in line for this Alfredo for 20 mins when the menu said the sauce was vegetarian, just for the sauce to be premixed with chicken. I ended up just eating bread. My meal today was a slice of bread and this dry cold broccoli. I canβt explain how disappointed I am in the amount of money I spent on a meal plan for it to result in this.

Gotta try it to know what I mean. Little times the food slaps and sometimes itβs mid. Really this review should be a 3.5 but meh. Iβll give extra .5 for good honeydew π
